DIY Brush Cleaner

This easy and cheap DIY brush cleaner is for all the lazy girls out there who honestly cannot be bothered deep cleaning their brushes. Instead, they swallow their guilt over personal hygiene and cringe internally when using a dirty brush.

So here’s what you need:

2. Rubbing alcohol (ISOCOL rubbing alcohol, $9.99 AUD)
3. Empty spray bottle (You can usually find these at your local $2 shop)

Fill 1/4 of the bottle with the rubbing alcohol and the remaining 3/4 with water then shake. That’s it! Your brush cleaner is ready to use. Spray the brush cleaner onto a tissue or towel as opposed to directly on the brush in order to avoid the slight alcohol smell lingering on your brush.

Tip: This brush cleaner should be used daily, along with a deep clean at least once a week. Dirty brushes can lead to breakouts and they also make make-up application more difficult due to the built up product suffocating the brush.
